Flying with Bubbly

International travel is difficult.  Long flights, potential delays and hauling luggage around multiple airports are just a few things that happen routinely when you travel.  But you can’t get across the globe if you don’t fly to some point on the map!

I ran across this article and thought it was really interesting.  The airlines are rolling out the red carpet for first-class passengers these days.  Not so much in the coach section, but a first-class ticket is something to dream about!  Maybe one time in your life you will able to experience the luxury of a first-class trip.

Champagne is the ultimate luxury beverage.  Everything about it screams fancy.  So why wouldn’t the airlines use vintage champagne to lure customers into first-class?

According to a recent article from T & L:

“The change in selection is relatively unremarkable — except that Singapore Airlines also began offering the 2004 Krug to its first class passengers a few months ago.

Emirates is also giving its first class passengers a bubbly upgrade. Instead of serving the usual Dom Perignon, elite passengers on routes to Europe, the U.S. and Asia can sip on Dom Perignon 2000 P2 edition (an almost $400 bottle).

First class passengers should be aware of the “champagne wars” as airlines try to outdo each other with more expensive, luxurious offerings to lure customers.”

I’ve got a new item on my bucket list! Cheers xoxo.
